World Ranking - Esperience vs entusiasm - Part 1

Oggi Istvan Peni ha potuto festeggiare il 1° posto nel ranking mondiale della Air Rifle, e il secondo nella 3x40.

Ovviamente questo traguardo è il frutto di una stagione ad altissimo livello e del risultato delle ultime gare della Finale di Coppa del Mondo di New Delhi.

Scorrendo le classifiche di questa ultima competizione notiamo però che in parecchi eventi si sono affermati o comunque hanno dimostrato il loro valore tiratori giovani e giovanissimi, Peni (20 anni ) Shimada (19), Nepejchal (18) e Armina Sadeghian (15) su tutti.

Se facessimo una media delle età dei primi dieci tiratori di ogni evento del ranking mondiale potremmo notare delle curiosità.

L’età media dei primi dieci tiratori di aria compressa è di circa 28 anni e fin qui nulla di sorprendente, curioso che sia la stessa età media dei primi dieci tiratori di 3x40 , mentre quello che non sorprende è l’età media dei tiratori di Prone che è 34 anni.

Ovviamente ci sono delle eccezioni che spostano le medie, basta vedere Bubnovich e Sidi che oltre i 40 anni ancora riescono a dire la loro ai 10 m.

L’impressione è che almeno ai 10 m la tendenza sia quella che vede eccellere tiratori sempre più giovani, al limite dell’adolescenza, mentre nelle discipline a fuoco l’età tende nettamente a salire.

Gia negli anni scorsi questa tendenza si era manifestata con decisione, basti pensare a Yang Haoran che ai 10 m  da juniores ha fatto faville, ridimensionandosi un poco tuttavia quando ha iniziato a tirare a fuoco (pur restando ovviamente un grande campione).

Quali potrebbero essere i motivi che giustificano questo avanzare dei giovani tiratori ?

Avvio precoce alle competizioni ?

Nuove modalità di allenamento ?

Cambiamenti nella tecnica del tiro che premiano caratteristiche di elevata reattività a discapito della esperienza ?

Today Istvan Peni can celebrate 1st place in the World Air Rifle Ranking, and the second place in the 3x40 World Ranking.

Obviously, this is the result of a very high season and the result of the last World Cup finals in New Delhi.

However, in the last few competitions we have noticed that in several events they have proven themselves or have shown their value to young and youngsters, Peni (20 years) Shimada (19), Nepejchal (18) and Armina Sadeghian (15) .

If we made an average of the age of the top ten shooters of each world ranking event we could notice some curiosity.

The average age of the first ten compressed air rifle shooters is around 28 years and nothing surprising and curious ever since is the average age of the top ten shooters of 3x40, while what is not surprising is the average age of prone shooters  that is 34 years old.
Of course there are exceptions that move the averages, just see Bubnovich and Sidi who over 40 years still manage to tell them at 10 m.

The impression is that at least 10 m the trend is the one that excels younger shooters, to the limit of adolescence, while in the disciplines in focus the age tends to rise.

Over the years, this trend had been resolutely determined, just think of Yang Haoran, who at 10 m from juniors did sparks, slightly shrinking when he started to fire (though obviously a great champion).

What could be the reasons that justify this advancement of young shooters?

Early start of competitions?
New modes of training?
Changes in the shooting technique that reward high performance features at the expense of experience?
