Rajmond Debevec vincendo la gara di Arma Libera a Terra ha conquistato oggi in Corea il suo secondo titolo mondiale,   a distanza di ben 16 anni dal precedente (Lathi 2002 – FR300 3x40).

Rajmond è una vera e propria leggenda vivente del tiro, ha vinto più di chiunque altro e a ragione può essere considerato il più grande tiratore di arma lunga di tutti i tempi.

 

 

La gara in questione è stata per Rajmond molto difficile, gli ho rivolto alcune domande a caldo subito dopo la conclusione dei tiri, mentre era in attesa della cerimonia di premiazione.

 

 

D: Innanzitutto Complimenti Rajmond per questo grandissimo successo, che arma hai usato in gara?

R: In questa gara ho usato una Bleiker 6BR e munizioni commerciali Norma, la stessa arma che userò nella prossima gara di 300m 3x40, mentre per la gara di Fucile Standard impiegherò un arma Rieder & Lenz, di cui uso anche una 22LR nelle gare a 50m.

D: Parlaci un attimo di questa gara, come ti sei trovato? è stata molto difficile ? quali sono state le difficoltà che hai incontrato e quali strategie ti hanno permesso di vincere ?

R: Si è stata una gara molto difficile, c’era molto vento , anche se ieri sembrava meno ma nelle eliminatorie avevo fatto lo stesso risultato, oggi il vento cambiava direzione continuamente, ho aspettato che si abbassasse un po’ e ho dato più o meno 6 tacche  (circa 6 cm ) di diottra. Inoltre c’erano anche rapidi cambiamenti di luce, dovuti alle nuvole che il vento spostava velocemente e anche questo rendeva difficile il tiro.

D: Che impressione ti ha fatto questo poligono qui in Corea?

R: Si tratta di un poligono militare, molto ampio, come Zagabria, senza tettoie fisse, in questi giorni credo fosse più facile tirare stando dal lato destro per via del vento da Nord-Est

D: Sappiamo tutti che il 6BR è un calibro che soffre il vento, credi che usando un calibro diverso (es. un 308) si sarebbero potuti avere vantaggi in termini di punteggio?

R: No, non credo che ci sarebbero stati vantaggi nell’ impiegare un 308.

D: tra qualche giorno avrai la gara 300 FR 3x40 in cui vincesti il tuo primo titolo mondiale ben 16 anni fa, cosa pensi che sarà importante tenere in conto per un buon risultato?

R: Il vento condizionerà il risultato, sicuramente, a meno che non cambi, e sicuramente renderà la gara molto difficile.

The Legend strikes again

 

Rajmond Debevec won today his second world title in Korea in the 300m Prone event, 16 years after the previous one (Lathi 2002 - FR300 3x40).

Rajmond is a true living legend of the rifle shooting, has won more than anyone else and rightly can be considered the greatest long-time shooter of all time.

The match in question was very difficult for Rajmond, I asked him a few hot questions immediately after the shots had been completed, while he was awaiting the award ceremony.

 

Q: First of all Congratulations Rajmond for this great success, what weapon did you use in the match?

A: In this match I used a Bleker 6BR and commercial ammunition Norma, the same weapon that I will use in the next 300m 3x40 event, while for the 300m Standard Rifle match I will use a Rieder & Lenz weapon, of which I also use a 22LR in the  50m competitions.

D: Tell us a moment about this match, how did you find it? was it very difficult? What were the difficulties you encountered and what strategies allowed you to win?

A: It was a very difficult, there was a lot of wind, even if yesterday it seemed less but in the preliminaries I had the same result, today the wind changed direction continuously, I waited for it to drop a little and I gave  6 click (about 6 cm) of diopter. In addition there were also rapid changes in light, due to the clouds that the wind moved quickly and this also made it difficult to shoot.

Q: What impression did this shooting range make here in Korea?

A: It is a military site, very large, like Zagreb, without fixed roofs, these days I think it was easier to shoot from the right side because of the wind from the Northeast

Q: We all know that the 6BR is a caliber that suffers the wind, do you believe that using a different caliber (ex. a 308 Win) could have been possible in terms of scoring?

A: No, I do not think there would have been any advantages in using a 308 Win.

D: In a few days you will have the 300 FR 3x40 match in which you won your first world title 16 years ago, what do you think will be important to keep in mind for a good result?

A: The wind will condition the result, certainly, unless you change, and it will surely make the match very difficult.
