FR Prone e 50m Pistol addio… o forse no ? - FR Prone and 50 m Pistol goodbye ... or not?

Circa un mese fa si è svolta a Sydney (AUS) la prima gara di Coppa del Mondo Junior (WCJ), come previsto in questa gara (analogamente a quanto avviene nelle WC senior) non erano compresi gli eventi di 50 Rifle Prone (CLT) e di Free Pistol (PL), questo per le note vicende che hanno portato alla cancellazione di queste specialità dal programma dei Giochi Olimpici con inserimento al loro posto delle gare miste a squadre (Mixed Team).

 

Sul calendario ISSF la prossima gara  riservata agli Junior è ora la Coppa del Mondo di Suhl (D), dal 22 al 29 Giugno prossimi, scorrendo però il programma di gara non si può non restare sorpresi notando che lo stesso è completamente diverso da quello della gara di Sydney, e non solo, sono presenti le discipline a fuoco cancellate (50m Rifle Prone Junior Men e Free Pistol Junior Men) e ne sono state inserite addirittura di nuove mai svolte (50m Rifle Prone Junior Women e Free Pistol Junior Women).

 

Ci si chiede quale sia il motivo per un cambiamento così netto della politica ISSF nei confronti delle discipline a fuoco, visto che solo fino a pochi mesi fa il destino del tiro sembrava puntare solo ed esclusivamente sulle discipline ad aria individuali e di squadra (Mixed Team).

Forse qualcuno in ISSF si è reso conto che cancellare queste discipline equivaleva a condannare a morte lo sport del tiro e di conseguenza la sua federazione internazionale ???

Forse le strade di ISSF e CIO stanno finalmente prendendo direzioni diverse?

FR Prone and PL goodbye ... or not?

About a month ago took place in Sydney (AUS) the first 2018 Junior World Cup (WCJ), as expected in this match (similar to what happens in the senior WC) were not included the events of 50 Rifle Prone (CLT) and of 50 m Pistol (PL), this for the well-known events that led to the cancellation of these specialties from the program of the Olympic Games with the inclusion in their place of team mixed competition (Rifle and Pistol Mixed Team).

On the ISSF calendar the next match reserved for Juniors is now the Suhl World Cup (D), from the next 22nd to the 29th June, but through the competition program you can not be surprised noticing that it is completely different from that of the Sydney competition, and not only, there are the disciplines erased (50m Rifle Prone Junior Men and 50m Pistol Junior Men) and have been included even of new never performed (50m Rifle Prone Junior Women and 50m Pistol Junior Women).

One wonders what is the reason for such a clear change of the ISSF policy towards the 50m disciplines, given that only a few months ago the fate of the shot seemed to focus exclusively on the 10m  individual and team events (Mixed Team).

Did someone in ISSF realize that canceling these event was tantamount to condemning the sport of shooting to death and consequently its international federation ???

Are the ISSF and CIO roads finally taking different directions?
